Promoting medico-legal knowledge in all its aspects

Medico-Legal Society events count toward continuing education credits for medical members of the Society who make CPD returns to one of the three Royal Colleges of Physicians.

Under the latest regime, solicitors and barristers are responsible for ensuring they are pursuing relevant CPD courses and our meetings should be appropriate for those practising in the areas of clinical negligence, personal injury claims and regulatory and disciplinary procedures.

Members are responsible for ensuring that they comply with the procedures laid down by their respective professional bodies for attendance at events run by certified providers. Where required, members can sign in and the Society will retain records for inspection by their professional body according to the appropriate rules.

Don’t forget to claim – Society membership becomes superb value when compared to commercial courses and conferences! The annual subscription should be an allowable expense for tax purposes.
